BRS workers involved in ‘cleaning’ of roads at Erravalli near BRS president and former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhara Rao’s farmhouse in Siddipet district on Wednesday.
The alleged ‘cleaning’ of roads in Erravalli near BRS president and former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s farmhouse in Siddipet district using turmeric water has sparked controversy on Wednesday.
The ritual was reportedly performed by BRS workers a day after Congress workers and Dalit organizations staged a ‘Chavu-Dappu’ (drum beating) protest in the area on Tuesday.
After the protest, BRS workers sprinkled turmeric water on the roads and other areas through which the protesters passed. BRS women leader Pavani Goud from Hyderabad was among those seen sprinkling turmeric water near Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao’s farm in Erravalli. Meanwhile, the police have reportedly registered a case in connection with the turmeric and water incident.
