Former Minister and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLA V. Prashanth Reddy asked the state government to open public procurement centers to buy maize from farmers in the MSP and pay a bonus of at least 400 GBP for Quintal.
On Thursday, he spoke to the Nizamabad district in Velpur in the Nizamabad district and stated that farmers suffer from a loss of about 30,000 GBP per acre in the absence of a market intervention by the establishment of the Center for Assignment and Traders used five -mans at QSP for Quintal.
He asked the government to buy corn for 2,800 GBP for Quinttal, including 400 GBP for a Quintal bonus except SMEs. He said that the crop was raised to about 6.45 lakh acres during the kharif season and in its Balconda election district 60% of the harvest has already been completed and private merchants used farmers by purchasing production at a very low price.
Since farmers have received a yield of about 30 quintals per acre, they lost 30,000 ₹ for acre, because traders bought production at a maximum price of 1,800 GBP per quintal.
