Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) demanded that the state government allow farmers Ayacut in the projects associated with the Kaleshwaam irrigation project to grow kharif every day.
Former Minister of T. Harish Rao warned that if the government could not turn on the Kalwakurty press engines soon, the opposition party would lead farmers Ayacut to the pump house to turn on the Kalwakurty, Kannepally engines and another pump.
The start of water lifting in the Cannepally Pump House would provide water for irrigation in 15 districts, but the Congress government gave up this occasion because the main minister himself did not know the value of the water, he said at a press conference on Sunday.
He pointed out that withdrawal from the water from Kalwakurty’s irrigation scheme has not been launched yet, although the SRISAILAM project was flooded from May 30 and received more than 172 TMC FT Water using Rains in Mahashtra and Karnatak on Sunday morning.
He mentioned that Main Minister A. Revanth Reddy was distributed by Andhra Pradesh over the last year, because Telangana did not use his share – only 28% 811 TMC FT against 34% – for the first time since the foundation of Telangana.
For this reason, the crop has been implemented in several areas of the combined districts of Mahabubnagar and Nalgonda during the second period of crops last year (2024-25) because the water was drawn for the third crop, said Mr. Harish Rao and added that the Congress government tried to repeat this year.
He said that the government could operate all the lift irrigation schemes and fill the linked tanks, small irrigation tanks and check-dam to allow farmers to soon occupy kharif crops so that it could be stored for the second crop.
