Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president Mahesh Kumar Goud said the BRS has no scope for revival and can only witness further erosion.
On the future of the party, he asked why MLC K. Kavitha was coming into limelight if BRS had strong foundations and noted that even party founder K. Chandrasekhar Rao seemed to be on the decline politically. In an informal chat with reporters in New Delhi on Sunday, he said KCR’s political image could not be replicated by others in the BRS.
Cabinet expansion by prerogative of CM
On organizational matters, he said cabinet expansion was not discussed with Rahul Gandhi during their meeting and Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will take the call for cabinet expansion after meeting the party high command. Mr Goud dismissed speculation about a cabinet berth, saying he was not interested in a ministerial post, adding that leaders across the organization were happy in their positions.
Mr. Goud praised Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and described him as a visionary leader. “The TG government’s policies are attracting big investments. Big companies will set up operations in the proposed Fourth City. Telangana’s social programs are unmatched anywhere else in the country. Hyderabad’s development is unstoppable. It is the best city in India,” he claimed.
