The British Airways announced the third day of London Heathrow and Delhi next year as it flew to the capital of the national capital 130 and higher government ministers on their charter flight as part of the British Prime Minister Keir Starmer here on a two -day visit.
The airline said it will investigate “further growth opportunities” in India because the trade between the two countries is expanding. Currently, British Airways operates 56 weekly flights connecting London with five key Indian cities: Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai and Hyderabad.
The business delegation in Mumbai is governed by the signing of the free trade agreement (FTA) between the United Kingdom and India in July.
“Given that our Milestone Agreement is preparing a trip for new opportunities for companies, our national flag bearer will play a decisive role in strengthening business contexts with India, strengthening growth in the UK and helping to fulfill our plan,” British Prime Minister Keir Starmer in British Airways.
“We are developing our own network along with increased economic activity, so FTA is very good for our business,” said Sean Doyle, Chairman and CEO of British Airways, adding that the airline offers the largest network of any European carrier to the northern Atlantic and helps link India with the US and beyond.
In addition to 49 flights of Air India to London Heathrow and other London Gatwick and Birmingham flights, Indigo also launched services to the UK in July three -week flights to Manchester from Bombai. The airline will also operate flights to Manchester from Nový Delhi, which probably begins on November 15, according to industrial sources. Indigo announced daily flights to London Heathrow from Bombje since October 26.
The expansion of flight networks between India and the UK is expected to generate annual exports, 25 million GBP in tourism income and 450 new jobs, increasing productivity and research cooperation, according to the British government press release.
