On Monday, the Supreme Court remained a provision in the WAQF 2025 Change Act that a person should be a practicing of Islam for 5 years to create a waqf.
The provision is appointed until the government of state governments has commented on the rules for determining whether a person is a practice of Islam, the Supreme Court said under the statutory news website of Livelaw.
The court will also order that if possible, the CEO of the WAQF Council should be a Muslim, and at the same time refused to remain in a amendment that allows Muslim to appoint Muslim as the CEO.
