Kannada and Minister of Culture and the Koppal district, who is in charge of Shivraj S. Tangadagi, expressed concern that the race for pushing messages without verification of facts disrupts the value of journalism.
On Sunday, after the opening of Patricka Bhavan, he spoke for journalists Karatagi Taluk in the Karatagi district in the Koppal district.
“Newspapers and journalists force huge responsibility. Even though the report is a question mark, readers tend to accept it as a reality. Therefore, they are necessary before publishing or broadcasting messages,” Mr. Tangadagi said.
The Minister observed that violations had lost his seriousness over the years, and said, “Ten years ago, if the TV channel was broadcast broken news, people would stop and watch.
The minister described the pen as sharper than any weapon and stated that it should be responsible for the purpose of social change.
“Messages must always bear the version or reaction of the affected ones. Unfortunately, only one -sided news is sometimes spreading,” he noted with concern.
Mr. Tangadagi emphasized the importance of newspapers in everyday life. “For me, the day does not start without reading newspapers. In rare cases, three or four days a year when papers do not come because of festivals, I feel restless,” he said.
The Minister praised the newspaper workers and noted that they are now qualifying for the annual Rajyotsava Award. “Rain or cold, add newspapers from door to door. Their service deserves recognition,” he said.
The warning of fake messages advised journalists to exceed the information control several times before publishing.
“The media have the power to change governments. At the same time, social media are increasingly used to store people.
