Congress MLC Yathindra Siddaramaiaha on Monday expressed confidence that the police charged Miscreants responsible for the torn of banners Br Ambedcar in the village of Vajamangal nearby.
Mr. Yathindra, who visited the village, told reporters that the police had been given strict instructions to identify miscreants and bring them to reserve so that they could be punished by law.
Here it can be mentioned that on Friday, torn banners in Vajamangale in Vajamangale were found and the police registered the case against the accused after organizing a protest on Saturday.
The situation was now calm in Vajamangale, Mr. Yathindra said, adding that the police had taken the task of seriously identify the culprits.
“The police have gained CCTV shots that are not exactly from the place of occurrence, but nearby. On this basis, we hope that the culprits will soon be charged,” he said.
“Abolition” of negotiations
Meanwhile, the State President Bahujan Samaj (BSP) M. Krishnamurt took a serious exception to the police’s inability to arrest the culprits involved in the “contemptible” insult to the ambusant three days after the incident.
Krishnamurty, who focused on a press conference here, pointed out that Vajamangala falls into the election district of Varun, represented by the main Minister Siddarahaiaha. “It is very shameful that such an incident occurred in its own election district of the main minister,” he said.
He called on Mr. Siddaramaiaha and the Minister of the Interior G. Parameshware to immediately visit Vajamangal and ensure that the steps to immediately arrest the culprits were taken. He also demanded that the accused case be given.
He said the BSP would start agitation if the police did not arrest the accused over the next eight days.
