
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay said on Saturday: “It processes the suspension of its agreements with Turkish universities until the next announcement.” The decision came after the support of Turkey in Pakistan in the middle of increased tension with India.
According to PTI, the Institute currently has a program of exchange of the faculty with some Turkish institutions. Iit Bombay said it suspends links “because of the current geopolitical situation involving Turkey”.

Iit Rocee
Previously, Iit Rocee formally canceled the memorandum of understanding with the University of Inon in Turkey. “The Institute is still determined to promote global cooperation that reflects its academic priorities and adhere to national interest,” Iit Rocee published on X.

Private institutions
Private institutes, such as Chandigarh University, also interrupted their academic cooperation with 23 Turkish and Azerbaijan Universities about Pakistan’s support during the “Sindoor Operation”, PTI said.

1. University of Jawaharlal Nezru (JNU): In a statement published on X, JNU said: “For reflections on national security, memorandum between JNA and Inon University, Turkiya stands suspended until another announcement. JNU stands with a nation.”
2. Jamia Millia Islam: Professor Saima Saeed, for Jamia Millia Islamia, said, “We suspended all Mous with institutions associated with Turkey. Jamia stands with a nation and Indian government.”

3. Maulan Azad National Urdu University (Manuu), Hyderabad: Manuu, Central University, announced the cancellation of the agreement with Yunus Emre Institute, Turkiye for Diploma, with immediate effect.
. The CSKO announced the immediate termination of its memorandum of understanding (MY) with the University of Istanbul, Turkiye, the officials said.
Meanwhile, the University of Delhi on May 14 said it was reviewing an international academic partnership. “We are examining all of mine and we will only decide after reviewing the agreements,” said higher PTI official PTI.

Boycott Turkey, Azerbaijan
Several Indians claimed that they had boycotted Turkish goods and canceled their trips to the western Asian country. Online travel platforms, such as EasyMytrip and ixigo, also published advice against visiting these nations.
Several trade bodies called to boycott Turkish products. The confederation of all Indian traders (CAIT) announced on Friday a complete boycott with Turkey and Azerbaijan.
Meanwhile, Indian universities, including JNU and Jamia Millia Islamia, have suspended their agreements with both countries.
The International Airport Limited Cochin International Airport Limited (CIAL) announced that it has terminated the terrestrial services of the Turkish company Celebi Airport Services India Private Limited in accordance with the recent Civil Aviation Safety Directives (BCAS) with regard to national security.
Development came against the background of Turkiy’s support of Pakistan and his conviction of Indian strikes in terrorist camps in a neighboring country and Pakistan -occupied cashmere (POK) under the Sindoor operation.
Pakistan also used Turkish drones on a large scale during a military conflict with India. Azerbaijan also actively supported Pakistan in conflict.
