Members of the Bezawada Bar (BBA), Krishna Zilla Bar Federation and AP Bar Council on Tuesday delayed court duties and condemned the attack on the chief judge (CJI) Bravai at the Supreme Court on Monday.
The advocates organized protests in the court complex and near the statue of Dr. BR Ambedkar and increased slogans such as “Save Judiciaria, Save The Nation”. Women demanded that the government initiated measures to prevent the repetition of these incidents.
Later, lawyers took the assembly from the court complex to Ambedkar Smithi Vanam and the district collector.
On this occasion, President BBA AK Basha said that if there was no protection for CJI, the security of judges and lawyers across the country was of serious concern.
Mr. Basha, along with the members of the AP Bar Council, Ajay Kumar and Sunkar Rajendra Prasad, and defends Naraharisetti Jyothi, Matt Jayakar and others, presented to the collectors of the memorandum.
