Will Ferrell
Actor, comedian, writer and producer Will Ferrell made his mark as a cast member on Saturday Night Live. His unique style of absurdist humor has made him one of Hollywood’s biggest comedy stars with hits such as Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, Elf, Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby and Step Brothers. Dhanraj Pillay
Dhanraj Pillay is one of India’s best hockey players and a former captain of the national team. Did you know that he has represented India in four Olympics, four World Cups, four Champions Trophy tournaments and four Asian Games? His career spans over 15 years. Pillay was instrumental in India’s gold medal triumph at the 1998 Asian Games, ending a 32-year wait for a title. He was honored with Padma Shri and Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna.
Roald Amundsen
Roald Amundsen was a Norwegian explorer whose name is synonymous with some of history’s greatest polar expeditions. In 1911, he became the first person to successfully reach the South Pole, defeating British explorer Robert Falcon Scott in one of the most famous races of exploration. Amundsen also became the first to sail the Northwest Passage by sea and later participated in pioneering Arctic air expeditions. In 1928, however, he allegedly disappeared while participating in a rescue mission for another Arctic expedition.
Gajanan Madhav Muktibodh
Gajanan Madhav Muktibodh was one of the most influential voices in modern Hindi literature. A poet, essayist, critic and short story writer, he became a leading figure in the Nayi Kavita (New Poetry) movement, using his work to explore social inequality, political consciousness and the struggles of the individual in a changing society. His famous long poem Andhere Mein is considered a landmark in the post-independence period. However, he did not receive widespread recognition until after his death in 1964.
