Two individuals were arrested and the extensive disturbing liqueur unit in the village of Ramapuram located in a rice mill in the Suryapet district was uncovered after the raid of the state working group (STF) ban and consumer tax of Telangana.
Officials confiscated a huge amount of materials used in the production of falsified liqueur, of which 38 bottles of MC Dowell, 38 cartons, 42.8 kilograms of whiskey bottles, 56.3 kg of general cap, more than 7,800 labels, six 200 liter steel jugs. The estimated value of seized items is approximately 20 lakh.
The accused were identified as S. Mahesh Kumar of Durgi in the Palnad and Prakash district, the owner of the rice mill in Ramapuram. Other suspects – Siva Shankar, Mallikarjun Rao, Sharanjit Singh and R. are currently administered in Andhra Pradesh.
Meanwhile, there is an effort to monitor Srinivas, aka Abdul Kalam, identified as a key figure in the rocket.
According to the director for recovering tax Shahnawaz Qasim, the unit used falsified rice as part of the production process and replicated branded products with counterfeit labels and packaging. He noted that similar operations were previously exhibited in Andhra Pradesh, where several individuals involved in fake liqueurs networks were arrested.
The ministry’s vigilance stems from previous incidents, including the 2022 episode, in which residents in areas under Ibrahimpathnam, Bongir, Ramannapet and Nampally have reported stomach diseases after consuming suspicion of royal stag whiskey. The investigation was then revealed by a counterfeit liqueur in circulation.
