A video from the government school in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, emerged online and pointed out the functioning and discipline of public schools. The video, which has been widely spread on social media, was reportedly recorded at the Krishnapuri government school and shows that teachers are dancing in the classroom while students are engaged in a cleaning task.
The video was first shared on behalf of Gangesh on X. It opens with a solo performance by a teacher who is seen to dance to a popular Bollywood song from 90. The scene then moves to another part of the school, where a group of teachers is seen to dance together on the Pandjab Footprint Dhol Jagero Da, a well -known intervention from the past.
While the presence of music and dance in the school environment may not be alarming in itself – especially during cultural programs or festive events – what followed in a video raised eyebrow. The second half of the shots shows that students are engaged in cleaning duties, sweeping the floor and doing further inferior work, while teachers stand nearby, sometimes they seem to give instructions.
The settings do not appear festive or festive. Cleaning activities happen during what seems to be a normal school lesson, and there is no visual indication that students participated voluntarily or as part of the planned purity. The video raised concerns about abuse of class time, student work in schools and lack of supervision or responsibility in some government institutions.
From now on, there was no official statement that the school authorities, the Office for Education in the Meerut district or the UTTAR Pradesh basic education department. It remains unclear whether the event was part of the planned activity, one -time incident or reflecting a wider trend at school
The video led to a growing speculation about the need for stricter monitoring mechanisms in government schools, especially in terms of appropriate use of school hours and professional behavior of employees. Without notifying any formal investigation, it remains to be determined whether the authorities will accept the incident and start a probe.
The incident also focuses on wider systemic problems, from the responsibility of the teacher to the rights of students and the administration of the school, in the Indian public education system. While the video offers only a short view of the activities of one school, the nerve hit, which caused a reflection on how such spaces are managed and to whom it eventually serves.
