The Nagpur bench of the Bombay High Court on Monday (April 20, 2026) dismissed a public interest litigation (PIL) challenging the Z-Plus security cover provided to Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat, saying the plea lacked public interest and did not form part of the plea.
The petition, filed by activist Lalan Kishore Singh, sought the return of taxpayers’ money spent on security measures, arguing that the RSS was an unregistered organisation.
