The Bombay High Court, which on Wednesday (April 21, 2026) quashed the charges against four accused in the 2006 Malegaon blasts, slammed the National Investigation Agency (NIA) for lapses in its investigation.
A division bench of Chief Justice Shree Chandrashekhar and Justice Shyam C. Chandak observed that there was insufficient material on record to proceed against the appellants – Rajendra Chaudhary, Dhan Singh, Manohar Ram Singh Narwaria and Lokesh Sharma. A copy of the court order was made available on Thursday (April 23).
