Bombai residents woke up on heavy rain on Saturday morning. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) released a red warning of heavy rains in Mumbai and Ragaid. Several airlines and western railways issued an update of passengers.
Travel counseling issued by airlines in the X post said: “Travel advice. Plan in advance, #mumbai Travelers! You made an entrance, so you have a few roadblocks around #mumbai. If you are traveling today, have a little buffer on the road.
Spicejet in the X post states: “#weatherupdate: Due to bad weather (heavy rain) in Mumbai (bom), all departures/arrivals and their subsequent flights may be affected. Passengers are asked to check their flight status via http://spicejet.com/#status.”
Western Railway also dropped the update at 9:30 in the morning and reported that all trains were running normally despite IMD reading alerts for the city and suburbs of Mumbai.
Mumbai Vikhroli, who witnessed the landslide after heavy rains and recorded 257.5 mm collisions, the highest in the city in the 24 -hour period before 8:30 am on August 16. In the landslide incident, 2 people were reported, while 2 others were injured. Santacruz took second place with a rain of 244.7 mm during the same period.
IMD released a warning of Maharashtra and Gujarat, which predicted wet spells to 11:00.
The meteorological agency warned against “intense magic of rain” in Ratnagiri, Raigad, Mumbai, Mumbai, Thane and Palghar districts in the middle of the presence of intense to very intense convection above the city and neighboring areas.

Weather forecast for Mumbai valid until 8:30 am of 17 August states: “heavy to very strong rainfall in several places with extremely strong precipitation in an isolated place.” The maximum financial capital temperature is expected to settle around 28 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature on Saturday 16th August is around 24 degrees Celsius.
For heavy rainfall and thunderstorms, orange warnings are in place.
