A suicide threat at the Rajasthan Assembly building on Friday (April 24, 2026) prompted a massive security response that led to an immediate evacuation and intensive search of the premises. Although it was the second such warning in less than two weeks, no suspicious object was found during the search.
An anonymous e-mail sent to the assembly secretariat warned of four powerful explosions by two suicide bombers brought from Chennai at 1 p.m. “The blasts will be carried out by two attackers wearing explosive belts. When they get close to the bombs, they will automatically activate and detonate,” the e-mail said.
