Body of minor girl exhumed in AP after suspicious death
Police have exhumed the body of a minor girl who died under mysterious circumstances at Vempad in Unguturu mandal of Krishna district and sent the samples for examination to the Andhra Pradesh Forensic Science Laboratory (APFSL).
Unguturu Mandal Revenue Officer (MRO) Vimala, Gannavaram Circle Inspector Shiva Prasad and a team of doctors exhumed the body and recovered the mortal remains on Saturday.
The girl, aged 14, died under mysterious circumstances at her home on June 28, Gannavaram Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Kosuri Dharmendra said.
Some family members buried the body without notifying relatives and the police.
Based on a complaint filed by the girl’s mother, the Unguturu police registered a case and started an investigation. The girl was studying in class nine, the DSP said.
