To facilitate smooth and affordable travel for visitors to Chitra Santhe, Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) will operate special metro bus services on January 4, Sunday.
The special services will operate from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on the day of the annual art fair, which draws thousands of visitors to the city, according to a press release. Buses will be available at a flat fare of ₹15 to encourage the use of public transport and reduce traffic congestion in and around the venue.
Special services will connect key transit points with Vidhana Soudha, near the Chitra Santhe venue. Four buses will ply every 10 minutes from Kempegowda Bus Stand to Vidhana Soudha via Central Talkies, Anandarao Circle and Shivananda Stores. Similarly, four buses will ply every 10 minutes from Mantri Mall metro station to Vidhana Soudha, passing through Anandarao Circle and Shivananda Stores.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will inaugurate Chitra Santhe with this year’s theme being environment. More than 1,500 artists from 22 states and four union territories are expected to participate. In 2025, some 1,500 artists from 20 states exhibited and sold their work at the festival, which is estimated to have attracted more than five million visitors.
