Transport Minister Ramaling Reddy on Tuesday is due to launch new redeeming routes on Electronics City Phase 1, Wipro Gate Bus Stand (Wipro Gate-6), which aim to improve the first and last miles for metro passengers.
“In order to provide a smooth connection for commuting metro, BMTC is already operating 2,730 trips a day on 59 routes with 217 plans from metro stations to various neighborhoods throughout the city,” said Mr. Reddy Hindu.
The BMTC official said that the newly introduced services will benefit, in particular, commuting in Electronics City, Bommasandra, Hebagodi and Kodathi, which connects these main IT and residential hubs directly to yellow line stations. The feeders are expected to be more comfortable to travel for the offices, students and residents living from the stations.
