The Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) plans to introduce an independent external monitoring layer for its smart ticketing system even as it rolled out around 11,000 electronic ticketing machines (ETMs) across its bus network last month.
According to officials, BMTC will appoint a project monitoring consultant to oversee system implementation, operations and compliance.
