J. Ravishankar, CEO of Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL), performed a comprehensive yellow line check on Saturday. The inspection covered the entire section 19.15 km from Bommasandra on RV Road, including Hebbagodi Depot.
Accompanied by higher BMRCL officials, Mr. Ravishankar reviewed the ongoing work and assessed the corridor’s readiness. BMRCL MD ordered officials to deal with any shortcomings and ensure that all orders for the public opening of the line were introduced, the official edition said.
On Friday, the long -delayed yellow Namma metro line moved one step closer to becoming operation, because the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) received a highly expected legal security clearance from the Metro (CMRS), Southern Circle.
19 km of the corridor passes through several densely populated and highly operated areas such as central silk plate, HSR and electronics, which makes it a key way for everyday commuting and technological professionals.
Initially planned to be completed in 2021, the yellow line faced repeated delay, with the last date it passed in June 2024. The failures were largely attributed to the challenges in obtaining the necessary rolling.
