The Chairman of the Pakistani Party Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari on Friday (April 25, 2026) threatened that blood would stop in the rivers, if the water was stopped, in a sharp response to India’s decision to suspend the Indian waters (IWT) after the terrorist attack of Pahalgam.

“Indus is ours and remains ours – either our water or their blood flows,” the former Foreign Minister quoted on Friday when he was dealing with the public assembly in the SUKKUR area of his home province of Sindh.

Indus flows through the provinces and the civilization city of Indus Valley Mohenjo-Daro flourished on its shores. Mr. Bilawal said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi claimed that India was a heir to civilization for thousands of years, “but this civilization lies in Mohenjo-Daro in Larany. We are her real administrators and we will defend it.”
Mr. Bilawal said that Mr. Modi could not interrupt the Aeon’s old bond between the people of Sindu and Indu, adding that “the Indian government plunged his eyes on Pakistani water and the situation requires unity between all four provinces to defend and protect their water.” He said that neither Pakistan nor the international community would tolerate Mr. Modi’s “warm” or any attempts to avert Indus water from Pakistan.
“We will send the world a message that the robbery on Sindu will not be accepted.” PPP chairman urged his supporters to prepare for the decisive struggle to defend his river from Indian aggression.
PAHALGAM Terrorist attack: Homage to victims
Mr. Bilawal, who also served as the youngest Foreign Minister in Pakistan, said that the country and its people condemned the recent terrorist attack in India, as Pakistani themselves remain victims of terrorism.
India reduced diplomatic ties with Islamabad on Wednesday. This call accepted India after the attack on Tuesday in Pahalgam, which killed 26 people, mostly tourists.
Resistance (TRF), a representative of the forbidden Pakistan based in Lashkar-E-Taiba based on Pakistan, demanded responsibility for the attack.
In response to India’s decision to suspend IWT in Pakistan on Thursday, there was a risk of suspending the Simla agreement and suspended other bilateral agreements with India. Pakistan also suspended all trade, closed his airspace for Indian airlines, and stated that any attempt to divert the water that would be considered a war act for it under the Indus.
The Simla Treaty was signed in 1972. The contract signed in Šimla was applied by the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and Pakistani President Zulfikar Ali Bhutt, grandfather of Mr. Bilawal.
PPP President also announced on Friday (Aperil 25) in the Federal Government has now agreed to build the construction of the controversial six new channels to agree between all provinces.
“I want to share that the federal government has decided that no new channels will be built in the CCI (council of common interests),” he said.
CCI is a high -performance interdieving body that solves controversy between provinces.
