Bharatiya Janata (BJP) announced plans for the development of the spiritual corridor around the Tirupati temple city with the aim of spreading their divine and cultural aura.
The Party President, PVN Madhav, who was in Tirupati on Tuesday as part of his tour of Rayalaseem districts, emphasized the need to protect the sacredness of the city as a “divine target”.
“Thanks to their number of temples and heritage, Tirupati deserves to be promoted as an aesthetic, balanced and spiritually uplifting pilgrimage destination,” Madhav said.
In this context, he also raised concerns about the presence of employees belonging to other faiths in Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD). He called on the state government to immediately transfer these employees to other government authorities and call it a priority to adhere to the spiritual ethos of the institution.
Madhav, who criticized the previous YSR Congress register, described it as a “period of devastation” in which he claimed that the means that the poor were abused for political objectives. He accused the former government of diverting grants assigned to 14 and 15.
