BJP State President BY Vijayendra
BJP state president BY Vijayendra on Wednesday warned of a protest if the recruitment process was not initiated unless the state government went ahead with recruitment to government posts as promised by the Congress ahead of the assembly elections.
Addressing a press conference in Bengaluru, Mr. Vijayendra alleged that the Congress government was unable to proceed with the recruitment as it did not have the funds due to the financial burden of implementing the guarantee schemes.
He urged Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to speak the truth to the people of the state and apologize to them for not fulfilling the recruitment promise.
He alleged that the Congress government had lied about being financially sound, but the fact that there were 59,000 vacancies in the education ministry and another 30,000 in the health ministry revealed the reality.
Describing Mr Siddaramaiah as a “pathological liar”, he said that though he claimed to have filled 40,000 vacancies, the government replied in the Assembly that only 8,157 vacancies had been filled.
The BJP state president recalled Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s speech at a rally during the Assembly elections in which he said that 2.5 million vacancies would be filled within one year of coming to power.
