The BJP has appealed to voters in Jubilee Hills to support party candidate Deepak Reddy in the upcoming by-elections, citing “serious civic neglect and broken promises by both the BRS and Congress governments”.
“Residents in the area continue to suffer from congested sewers, bad roads, lack of pensions, inadequate housing and inadequate access to clean drinking water – problems that have remained unresolved for years. Many senior citizens over the age of 65 also complain that they are not receiving their rightful pensions,” said Malkajgiri MP Eatala Rajender.
Campaigning on Tuesday evening, he said, “BRS once promised everything and delivered nothing. Now Congress is repeating the same scam with its unfulfilled ‘Six Guarantees’.”
The MP further alleged that Congress ministers are disorganized and focus more on personal gain than public welfare. “Real change in Jubilee Hills will only come when both BRS and Congress are defeated. Wherever we go, people are expressing their confidence in Prime Minister Narendra Modi and believe that only he can ensure the progress of the nation,” he added.
A crucial meeting
Meanwhile, State BJP president N. Ramchander Rao presided over a key meeting of party officials at the party office. He called for a more intensive door-to-door campaign to highlight the social welfare programs and development initiatives undertaken by the Modi government. He urged party leaders to expose the “corruption and misgovernance” of the previous BRS regime as well as the broken promises of the current Congress government.
Mr. Rao also urged the party cadres to actively participate in helping and assisting the people affected by Cyclone Montha. “In this hour of emergency, it is our paramount duty to coordinate with local authorities and ensure immediate relief to the poor, farmers and daily wage earners whose livelihoods have been severely affected. This includes providing food, shelter, medical assistance and basic supplies,” he said.
