The BJP leaders who answered Rahula Gandhi’s questions about 2024 Maharashtra instead of the Indian Election Commission confirm the accusation of the “Fixing of the match”, said Congress leader Ramesh Chennithal on Sunday (June 8, 2025).

ECI must respond to serious questions raised by Mr. Gandhi, who revealed “disturbing truth”, Mr. Chennithala said, claiming that events related to state surveys were not accidental but carefully planned operation.
“Mahashtra, once a lighthouse of democratic values, is now witnessing the deep erosion of these values. Congress has constantly followed the election commission, but so far the answers have been superficial and unsatisfactory,” AICC said responsible for the state.
Mr. Chennithala said that when the High Court in Chandigarh ordered the release of CCTV shots in connection with Haryan’s public opinion surveys, the Union government changed the rules with the help of EC and blocked this information.
“Why was it done? And for whom benefit?” he asked.
Maharashtra’s public opinion surveys included manipulation in voters, extensive fake vote and artificial percentage of votes, Chennithala claimed.
“In the Lok Sabha elections, the Congress and its allies gained a large mandate. How could the result turn so drastically within just five months? This election fraud,” he said.
Refusing to make a fake drill in Markadwadi (where some people were looking for a repoll after the EVM manipulation claim), it is a sign that there was something hiding, he added.
BJP and EC are trying to hide the truth, but Congress tirelessly chases her until democratic integrity is restored, Chennithal said.
