On Wednesday, BJP members protest in Belagavi against the state government do not ensure proper supplies of urea to farmers. The party leaders said there was an extensive departure of urea to the Black Market and that some ministers and leaders of the ruling party were behind it.
Demonstrators went Bullock trolleys and tractors from Circle Rani Chennamma Circle to the office of the Commissioner. They raised the slogans against the government of Congress and said they were pursuing politics against the farmer. They sat on the protest for some time in front of the office.
President of BJP Raith Morch, as Podahalli, said that the Union’s government provided adequate fertilizer reserves, but the state government could not properly distribute them.
He said a large part of government shares were diverted to the Black Market where ruthless traders sell them for bonuses.
He said that the demand for urea has been low in the last few years due to a precipitation deficit of 30%-40%. This year, however, the rainfall was good and the demand for urea naturally increased. Agricultural activities raised the pace. However, the state government did not ensure the correct availability of urea. The state government is blind to the fact that urea is diverted and sold in black. I have information that ministers not only ignore it, but also actively participate in this incorrect practice, ”he said.
He said the quality of seeds distributed to farmers through the agricultural department has remained poor in the last two years. “This caused tremendous losses to farmers whose demand for compensation was not met. Listed companies of seeds and fertilizers are mushroom mushrooms. Their only goal is to bleed farmers. He said he said, “he said,” he said, “he said,” he said, “he said,” he said, “he said,” he said, “he said,” he said, “he said,” he said, “he said,” he said, “he said.
“Farmers have been facing injustices since the Congress in the State came to power. He suspended various schemes such as Raitha Vidyanidhi Yojana, subsidies for agricultural equipment and the support price for growing millet and more.
He said that the government of trade unions provided the required amount of urea during the monsoon season. “But more than 2 lakh tons of fertilizers are sold in black. For this reason, farmers are trying to keep their crops,” he said.
“During this monsoon season, farmers are facing a lack of fertilizer urea. The state requires 12.88 lakh tons of urea during the monsoon season. 11.73 lacquer tons based on available supplies were assigned.
