Police Kalaburagi filed a case against N. Ravikumar, BJP MLC, over their recent defamation statement against representatives of Kalaburagi B. Fauzia Taranum.
On the basis of a complaint filed by Dattatraya Ikkalaki, President of Kalaburagi Samudaya, the Police of the Bazaar station registered the case against Mr. Ravikumar.
During the rally “Kalaburagi Chalo” organized by the BJP leader on Saturday, May 24, 2025) Mr. Ravikumar said at the address of the assembly that “the representative of Kalaburagi, who worked under the influence of the congress government, seems to be from Pakistan.”
Meanwhile, on Monday on Monday (May 26, 2025), Mr. Ravikumar apologized for his derogatory notes against the IAS officer.
