The MLA for Shivamogg Sn Channabasappa demanded the resignation of the Minister for Housing Zameer Ahmed Khan over the accusations of corruption in the allocation of houses to recipients.
At a press conference in Shivamogg on Monday, Mr. Channabasappa said that Congress’s leader BR Pedil himself raised charges of corruption in the housing department. The state government should organize the accusation investigation and the Minister (Zemeer Ahmed Khan) should resign to ensure fair investigation.
The legislature also raised an objection to the government’s decision to increase the reservations for minorities in the housing area.
“The Government of Congress is engaged in the reassurance of minorities for political benefits. The government has already announced funds for the well -being of minorities. There was no need to increase the reservation,” he said.
