On Friday in Navanagar in Hubball, farmers’ scores, along with their trolleys and tractors to Hubballi Electricity Supply Company (Hescom) in Hubball, to promote their different requirements, including continuous power.
The protest march was organized under the auspices of the Dharwad rural unit of the Bharatiya Janata party (BJP) with his Mlas Mahesh Tenginakai and Arvind Bellad, former MLC Nagaraj Chabbi, Ningappa Sutagatti and others.
Farmers marched from APMC Yard in Amaragol to Navanagar, where the office Hescom is located.
After reaching the Hescom office, the demonstrators were besieged in the office along with their trolleys to bulls and made the negligence of Hescom officials to the problems facing farmers.
They demanded that officials to ensure three -phase power supply, solve problems concerning the maintenance of transformers, and also look for surrender with waiting accounts.
The protesters of Famers complained that at a time when gardening and other crops are close to harvesting, the irregular power supply was poorly affected because they are dependent on the borehole -based irrigation.
Despite repeated lawsuits to the authorities of the exchange of extinct transformers, nothing happened, they said.
They also urged the authorities to ensure that damaged transformers were replaced within 24 hours, and KEB grids are sanctioned by various villages in Kalghatgi Taluk are first listed.
In addition, this required the control of regularization for unauthorized irrigation pumps.
Subsequently, the protesting farmers and leaders of BJP submitted to the authorities Hescom Memorandum and were looking for immediate steps to solve the waiting problems.
