
BJP leader B. GoPalakrishhnan offered a public apology to the leader of the CPI (M) PK Sreeathii for an unfounded accusation against her during her work as State Minister of Health.
Mrs. Sreethi sued Mr. GoPalakrishnan for the accusation that was done during the discussion on the television channel that she has expanded disproportionate kindness to her son Sudhir Zambiar in connection with the purchase of drugs for the government.
Mr. Gopalakrishnan admitted that he raised the accusation without owning any documents to justify them. BJP leader offered an apology in the presence of Mrs. Sreemati in Kochi on Thursday after the mediation effort.
Although Mr. GoPalakrishnan previously apologized to the leader of CPI (m) after a complaint filed in Kannura, Mrs. Sreethi was not satisfied with the way the apology was offered. Later, Mr. Gopalakrishhnan moved the High Court in Kerala to set aside the proceedings against him in court.
Meanwhile, the mediation process has begun to solve the problem outside the court and the decision on the particulars of the public apology was caused between two leaders.
The leader of the BJP, who apologized for the agony caused by his slanderous accusations, said he should not hover such an unjustified accusation against Mrs. Sreeathimi, who has long been in public life.
In response to development, Mrs. Sreethi said that the unfounded and slanderous accusations caused her and family members to many mental stress and suffering, except for her reputation. The decision to legally fight the case was not taken from any personal vendette, but in the framework of efforts to cancel damage caused by unfounded accusations, she said.
