Bihar unit Bharatiya Janata (BJP) on Monday organized a commemorative meeting in Rabindra Bhavan to determine the first anniversary of the death of former Deputy Minister Sushil Kumar Modi, who was underlined at the beginning of this year.
President Bihar BJP Dilip Jaiswal, along with the representatives of the main ministers Samrat Choudhara and Vijay Kumar Sinha, took part in the ceremony, which was also marked by the presence of several higher representatives and party workers. Floral honors were paid by a portrait of the late leader, because the participants remembered their political journey and a contribution to the Bihar administration.
On this occasion, Mr. Jaiswal described it as a privilege to cooperate with Mr. Modi. “His understanding of the party’s organization and the determination of its workers was unrivaled. Although he was a leader, he maintained deep respect for local level workers and never hesitate to visit them at the time of personal sorrow,” he said.
Jaiswal remembered Mr. Modi’s approach and characterized him as a disciplined and thoughtful figure, someone who avoided his views without proper consideration. “It was a knowledge store, especially in administration,” he added.
Among the present speakers Wi Bihar Legislative Assembly Nand Kishhore Yadav, Chairman of the Legislative Council Awadhesh Narayan Singh, MPs Janardan Singh Sigriwal, Vivek Thakur, Vivek Thakur, Dharmshil Gupt Misra and Sanjay Saraogi.
Representative of the main Minister Samrat Choudhary in his address attributed Mr. Modim to playing key roles in the formation and strengthening of BJP and the National Democratic Alliance in Bihar. “He was a key architect of the party in the state. His work laid the foundation for the new generation of leadership,” he said.
Mr. Choudhary also emphasized the influence of Mr. Modi on the creation of financial policy. “He understood the nuances of the financial department as several others. It was on his proposal that I accepted the financial portfolio and I was in mind the party’s interest,” he added. Mr. Choudhary remembered Mr. Modi’s time as a leader of the opposition and said his interventions often created a stir in the assembly. “When he brought papers to the house, it was understood that he was about to be the main problem or irregularity.”
At the independent event, which took place in Rajendra Nagar, Prime Minister Nitish Kumar also paid a flower tribute to the late leader. He introduced a memorial plaque and renamed the former Rani Park as Sushil Kumar Modi Memorial Park. The main minister also announced the installation of a life -size statue Modi in the park.
