The BJP, the Congress and the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) on Monday (May 4, 2026) retained their seven seats in five states that went to polls on April 9 and 23.
While the BJP won four seats in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Tripura and Nagaland, the Congress won two seats in Karnataka and the NCP won in Maharashtra.
Voting was held for by-elections in Nagaland, Karnataka and Tripura on 9 April and in Gujarat and Maharashtra on 23 April.
