President of Telangan BJP N. Ramchander Rao said that the party believed in the freedom of the press and warned against BRS threatening media houses after attacked the television news channel.
The party has great respect for the media, and when there were reports against them, or if the media has published or broadcast “false” messages, she could always be assessed for legal measures. Also, the state government should not allow such “raids” and take strict steps against the perpetrators. If necessary, the party is ready to provide a protective shield to media houses, he said in a press statement.
Mr. Rao accused BRS leader of resorting to attacks on the media frustrated after people have refused them in the last few elections. Such “tricks” would not work, he said, and he wanted to know if the same treatment could be met on the media media of the opposition party.
