The opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced a week-long campaign against “garbage disposal and pothole problems” in Bengaluru.
The BJP held a meeting of all Bengal MLAs and MPs on Tuesday, following which the party announced a signature campaign against the ruling Congress government.
“Due to the mismanagement of the Congress government, Bengaluru has turned into a garbage city. Potholes and piles of garbage are visible on all the roads. We have to fight against the government that has betrayed the city and it has been decided to conduct inspections for a week. Along with this, signature collection will be going on,” Leader announced in every Assembly meeting from November 6 to 15 at Ashok. after the meeting.
“We will also gather people’s views on the scheme to convert B Khata to A Khata, which we think is a money-making scheme. The government has no funds to develop Bengaluru. There is no need to take such steps to arrange the money. People cannot afford to pay so much. People do not want such an expensive Bengaluru brand. We need a Bengaluru that thinks of the common people,” he said.
