On Sunday, Bharatiya Janata (BJP) identified the center near the Taraka dam in HD Kote and claimed that it was an illegal assets operated by the private secretary of the Housing Minister Ahmed Khan.
A spokesman for the BJP MG Malesh said in the issue that according to records of rights, rental and crops (RTC), the ownership of the property in the name of Sardar Sarfaraz Khan, a private secretary of the Minister.
Mr. Malesh claimed that the center was illegal and accused the owner of abusing his political position in the operation of commercial assets on agricultural land “without legal consent”.
This property is in the ecological zone (ESZ) and in the Nagarahole Tiger Reserve leveling zone and in the area of elephant protection, Mr. Mahesh said.
He argued that the Center built in the floodplain of the river in violation of the Environmental Protection Act, the Act on the Protection of Wild Animals and the Records of Agricultural Land.
BJP called on the inspection of the property on the spot and called on the Minister of the Forest Eshwar Khandre and the officials of the Forest Department to start legal steps against the property owner for violating the law.
Mr. Sarfaraz Khaz’s action went against the public interest because there is a risk of damage to the environment, the biological diversity of forests and the elephant corridors, BJP said and called for a thorough investigation into the legality of the resort.
