BJP Jagdambika Pal on Wednesday (July 2, 2025) launched a scary attack on Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) Tejashwi Yadav, who accused him of trying to mention Bihar before the upcoming survey of the assembly. Mr. Pal’s remarks came to Mr Music and specifically dealt with the recent statement of Mr. Yadav on “throwing a modified WAQF law in the garbage”.
Mr. Pal, who chaired to the Common Parliamentary Committee for the draft WAQF Act (amendment), claimed that there is “competition” between Mr. Yadav and leader Aimim Assaddin Owaisi. His comments were followed by a statement by Mr. Yadav at the Patny’s Gandhi Maidan, which took place under the auspices of “Save Waqf, except the Constitution”, where RJD leader promised to cancel the WAQF law together. “The NDA in Bihar is on the way out, and as soon as we create a government, we are sending a law on WAQF brought by Narendra Modi’s government to the garbage,” Yadav said.
Pal Pal refused Mr. Yadav’s notes as “dreaming” and said that people from Bihar consistently refused his and his father Lalu Prasad Yadav. He reiterated his accusation that he and Mr. Owaisi and Congress were involved in the Aproving Politics and compete for victory over the Muslim community for votes.
Mr. Pal claimed that while the leader of the congress Rahul Gandhi, Tejashwi Yadav, the leader of the party Samajwadi Akhilesh Yadav and Assaduddin Owaisi are against legislation, “it supports the poor and passmand Muslims across the country.” Pasmanda is an umbrella term including the back, Dalit and Adivasi Muslims.
PAL PAL has developed the purpose of the altered act and stated that its goal is to ensure better management of the WAQF properties in favor of the necessary Muslims. He called on Congress and RJD to identify any provisions in legislation that would transfer land from Muslims to others and accuse them of playing with the emotions of people. As for Mr. Yadava’s “Dustbin” remark, Mr. Pal claimed that the RJD leader unintentionally supports those who illegally interfered with the WAQF country.
Mr. Pal stressed that the government led by Narendra Modi-Led carries out the Sachar Committee report, officially called “Social, Economic and Educational Status of the Muslim community in India”, estimating that WAQF real estate could generate 12,000 GBP Crore every year. It contrasted with the current realization of only 163 Crore and claimed that unanswered funds did not reach the intended recipients, namely “poor, widowed women”, but disappeared somewhere. ”
He stressed that the Sachar Committee was created during the possession of the Congress government due to the poor social-economic state of Muslims. He reiterated that while the Committee recommended that WAQF real estate could generate substantial incomes, previous governments, including UPA, could not implement these recommendations, unlike the current Modi government. The way he suggested is the real reason for the opposition. Mr. Pal also claimed that the draft WAQF was adopted across states, except West Bengal, claiming that Trinamool Congress (TMC) caused “violence sponsored by a state in places like Murshidabad”.
He stressed that this amendment provides transparent proceedings with all WAQFs recorded and accessible on the portal of the Ministry of Minority Affairs. “The property of Waqf, where the Earth is in the name of God, was abused by people to build a house, shopping center, etc.,” said Mr. Pal.
He criticized Mr. Yadav as a repetition of what he described as “insulting the Constitution”, which is a mistake he attributed to Rahul Gandhi, whose actions, as he claimed, led to his defeat. “Parliament exists on laws. If you have objections, approach the Supreme Court. But playing with such emotions will not work, this country is running on the law and the constitution,” he said.
