A big scandal on Tai -Wan shocked a lot. A female football coach from a National Taiwanese Normal University is accused of urge students to give blood to get academic credits.
The student named Jian shared her story online. She said that a 61-year-old teacher, Zhou Tai-eye, made them donate blood often or risk loss of graduation. Jian said she gave blood 200 times.
Sometimes it happened three times a day, from early morning to night. Sometimes she had to give blood every day for two weeks.
People who used blood were not trained. They claimed it was for research. Jian also said that the money that the students had was considered to be “team funds”. During one “blood” session, she shared a video about herself.
When blood towing continued for days, her arms were poorly bruised. When the recipients found no veins, they even tried to take blood from her wrist.
“It was really blood and sweat for the loan. I was practically cooked with rage! By the eighth consecutive day of blood towing, they could hardly find the vein in both arms,” the South Morning Post quoted.
“They even tried my wrist and failed. It was unbearable. I completely collapsed. It took six attempts to finally succeed!” Jian wrote.
Then many victims shared their painful stories online about the “vampire” teacher. One student said he had to take a break from studying for bullying a sport teacher. She never told her parents. She was afraid that her father would confront the coach.
Unfortunately, her father died before she could share the truth. Her college years, which were to be happy, were destroyed.
The excuse of teachers
13 July, the university announced that the coach Zhou was removed from her duties. They also shared a handwritten apology from her. The teacher apologized to students, employees and university.
“I sincerely apologize for the damage caused to the students, faculty and reputation of the university. I regret deeply emotional anxiety caused by students and I want to apologize to you,” SCMP quoted a football coach as writing.
However, the apology and statements of the university were later removed from social media. Many students and the public require justice and greater transparency in solving the case.
According to the publication, the reason for donating blood remains unclear. It is also not known how a football coach benefits.
