Documents seen by Reuters will outline the role of ChangPeng Zhao, the founder of Binance, who will serve as a strategic advisor to the Pakistani cryptological council.
Zhao was sentenced to four months in prison in May last year after confessing to breaking US laws against money washing with the largest cryptocurrency exchange in the world.
His role in the Pakistani Council will include support of blockchain infrastructure, regulatory framework counseling and assistance with national initiatives such as digital currency, mining and education of youth in Blockchain technologies.
Saqib said the country has 15-20 million crypt users and is the third largest global economy of freelance with increasing Fintech.
“Pakistan is in the top 10 global cryptodopors, although not regularized,” he said.
Saqib said he wants regulatory quarantines or a safe testing environment to support innovation and growth in the economy of Fintech and freelance.
He also said that Upskilling Pakistani youth in Blockchain and AI can manage the creation of jobs and economics, strengthen exports through digital services and the location of the country as a center for the emerging technology talent on the global scene.
