Following the photos of the Sub-Inspector of Police attached to the Hubballi Dharwad Commissioner of Police celebrating his birthday with historical leaves, the Hubballi Dharwad Commissioner of Police N. Shashikumar ordered an investigation.
Photos of Dharwad suburban police station PSI Rudrappa Gudadari celebrating his birthday allegedly with historical leaves have been widely shared on social media platforms.
Mr. Shashikumar told reporters in Dharwad on Saturday that he had received copies of the photographs posted on social media platforms and immediately directed the Deputy Commissioner of Police to look into the matter.
He also said that PSI Gudadari has been directed to report for duty at the police check post to facilitate an impartial investigation. It was a serious case because the photos were said to be of a private event. Further action will be taken based on the report, he said.
