The Indian Election Commission (EC), which carried out a special intensive revision (Sir) of electoral roles in Bihar, said on Monday (July 21, 2025) that political parties in the state were provided with detailed lists of 29.62 lake voters whose enumeration was not yet received and also from nearly 43.93 lamp voters.
The main election officers (CEO), election registration officials (ERO) and stand officers (BLO) organized a meeting with representatives of all 12 main political parties, and the parties were also asked to connect with these remaining voters through their district presidents and nearly 1.5 Lakh stands of the stand (Bla).
“This ensures that entire election machines, including political parties, cooperate in the mission regime so that no eligible voter will not be omitted from the proposal of the election role, which will be published on August 1,” the EC said in a statement.
The last date for submitting the list forms is 25 July and a list of proposals would be made 1 August. Any public may object to additions/removal/repair in the design of electoral roles.
Of the total voters of 7,89,69,844 voters, forms were received from 90.67% of voters; 5.56%were not found at their addresses; 2.1% is probably deceased; 0.95% is written in multiple places; It was found that 2.3% were likely to be permanently shifted and 0.01% were not traceable, the survey authority said in a statement.
The ES said Bihar also became the first state in a country to achieve one electoral station for 1200 voters or less and added 12,817 new election stations to avoid long queues.
According to the Bihar Sir Order of 24 June, the former ceiling of 1,500 voters for the polling station was revised to 1200. After adding 12,817 new stations, the total number of polling stations in the state will be up to 90,712 out of 77,895.
This main success in Bihar must be observed in other countries and unions, EC said.
