Given that the Central Government on Wednesday (April 30, 2025) announced that the list would be part of the further census, the leaders in Bihar “welcomed” the step and thanked the Prime Minister Narendra Modim for the “historical” decision. However, Rashtriya Janata’s opposition Dal (RJD) said it was one of the long -term requirements of the party, and “there was still a lot of work”.
In 2022, Bihar’s then Mahagathbandhan or Grand Alliance government that RJD was part of the state survey and published the results in October 2023. On the basis of the report, the government was increased to 65% of 50% in educational institutions and government jobs. Now in opposition, RJD focuses on the government for not including an increase in reservations about the ninth schedule of the Constitution.

Meanwhile, the head of RJD Lalu Prasad tried to remind people that for a long time they demand a nationwide caste census. “After the views of the Socialists, like me 30 years ago, on questions such as reservation, census, caste, equality and brotherhood, more are followed by others. RSS dances on our agenda),” Mr. Prasad said in a social media.
“However, the reform will not only become a caste census in the country. The reform will happen through the work of the government on the basis of the results of the census,” said the founder of the party Jan Suraj Prasor. “One will not become an intellectual by buying books … He should read books and understand them.”
