
The NDA manifesto promises a flood-free Bihar in the next 5 years, help to farmers and the poor
In its 69-page joint manifesto, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) promised a “flood-free Bihar in the next 5 years” through the establishment of a Flood Management Board and rapid construction of river-linking projects, dykes and canals. This will be under the ‘Flood to Fortune’ model which will support agriculture and fisheries.
Under the ‘Kapurgari Thakur Kisan Samman Nidhi’, farmers will be given an annual benefit of ₹3,000, a total of ₹9,000, the manifesto said.
The manifesto promises free ration, 125 units of free electricity, free medical treatment up to ₹5000, 50 lakh new Pucca houses and social security pension for the poor.
