Deputy Minister and Minister of Development Bengaluru DK Shivakumar, who on Monday inspected several ongoing civic work in the city and laid a foundation on Monday, said the “Greater Bengalur” is being created over the next two or three days. The Act on Administration of Public Bengaluru, 2024, is to enter into force from 15 May.
“The main cleanliness campaign will follow immediately after the Greater Bengaluru will be created. Citizens will be able to report garbage for garbage through the help line and the municipality will ensure a quick response,” he said. This is part of the wider goal to create a “pure Bengaluru” struggle against the illegal mafia disposal of garbage and streamline waste management.
He also stated that after the recent High Court of Karnataka command, which allowed the government to call new waste disposal within four months, new offers for integrated waste management will soon be caused. “We have found evidence that several people are sitting in one house and presenting several offers. They even complained about the opposition. They even try to use different strategies. But we are determined to manage and build a cleaner Bengaluru,” he said.
Later on the day, during the inspection on the spot on the road with white power in Bengalur, Mr. Shivakumar emphasized quality and durability. “White culminating roads must last for at least 30 years. I will see the work randomly, not only in places selected officials. I got in the places I choose and personally explore quality. During today’s inspection, I noticed that the thickness of the road was only half of my legs and asked officials to correct them,” he said.
As the monsoon season was approaching, he emphasized the readiness and assured citizens that both officials and ministers were on standby to prevent flood situations.
He acknowledged that progress would not come overnight, but he made sure that the changes would take place with the phase of the phase – transparent tunnels, underpasses and better connectivity.
