Most Americans oppose the large federal budget fought by President Donald Trump, according to the new National Fox News survey, which emphasizes the battle of Republicans in the hill when legislation moves through the Senate.
Survey conducted 13.-16. June found that 59% of voters oppose the tax and expenditure law compared to only 38% who support it-21-point disagreement. About half of the respondents (49%) said the legislation personally injured their families. Only 23% believed it would help, while 26% said it would not change.
Even among those who said they had a good understanding of what was in the bill, skepticism remained high. Although a little more often supported this measure, it was still thinking that it would hurt rather than good (45% vs. 34%).
Deep distribution
Measures, formally called the one, a large, beautiful account, revealed sharp political divisions:
- 73% of Republicans prefer legislation.
- 89% of Democrats are against it.
- 73% of independent also against it.
Last month, the bill approved the House of Representatives with a single vote and now faces a number of votes in the Senate.
Key provisions and controversy
The sweeping package is fulfilled by the Trump signature priorities, including:
- Extending tax reduction from 2017 and removal of taxes from tips and overtime remuneration.
- Financing billions of border security and codification stricter immigration policy.
- Restructuring Medicaid and reducing food brand financing to balance taxes.
- Store new requirements for Medicaid’s work coverage.
Critics, especially the Democrats, attacked the impact of Bill on the American Social Security Network. Medicaid provides health coverage to approximately 71 million low -income Americans and the proposed cuts go further than those listed in the house version.
Trump’s pressure and Republican defense
President Trump celebrates this measure online and calls it “one big beautiful account”. Until July 4, he forced the legislature to send him to the table and frame him as fulfilling his other promises.
Meanwhile, Republicans argue that the Democrats are against tax relief for working Americans and instead support tax increases.

The Senate progresses Trump’s “Big, Beautiful Account” in a narrow vote
The Republican -controlled Senate of the Senate promoted extensive tax cuts and the proposal of President Donald Trump, formally known as one great beautiful law.
The Senate voted 51-49 late on Saturday to clean the first obstacle towards the final passage and create an intense week of debate and changes.
President Trump celebrated progress on social media and described him as “great victory” and praised Republican senators Rick Scott, Mika Lee, Ron Johnson and Cynthia Lummis for their “fantastic work” in ensuring vote.
The next steps and changes
On Monday, June 30, senators will join in the vote-a-time, a procedural marathon in which lawmakers can propose an unlimited number of changes to the massive law. The Democrats are expected to mount a number of efforts to transform legislation that will ensure Trump’s main domestic agenda.
The measure combines tax cuts, new provisions of expenditure, stricter immigration rules and changes in claim programs such as Medicaid.
The Senate continued in the last debate this morning after the weekend spent the provisions to follow parliamentary decisions and satisfy the Republicans.
If the Senate manages to pass the bill, they will head to the House of Representatives, where the divisions between legislators remain sharp. Some members are concerned about the legislation price tag, while others are worried about the proposed cuts of Medicaid. Since the Democrats evenly against, the Republicans can afford to lose more than three votes in both chamber, if they hope to get the account.
Then the legislation would move to the table of President Trump before the 4th July, who set him to sign him in the law.
