The Social Reformer of the 12th Century Basaveshawara led the social religious revolution, questioned the social order and fought for equality, brotherhood and social justice, the Minister of Forests Eshwar B. Khandre said and urged the younger generation to follow the ideologies and principles of Basaveshware.
He set up the assembly after Garling Basaveshware statue to create his 892 on Wednesday in Bidar.
The ideology of social justice preached in Vachas written by the Social Reformer of the 12th Century Basaveshware is still relevant to society. The preaching of basshwar to eradicate the caste and providing the same condition to all communities was promoted and accepted around the world. The efforts of social reformers are to bring each individual community under one platform to expand the message of equality, Mr. Khandre added.
The Minister for the Municipal Administration and Haj Rahim Khan, former Minister Bandeppa Kashempur and members of Jayanthotsava Samiti were present.
All the main roads in the city were decorated with festons, while the youth in various areas also celebrated Basava Jayanti and pulled out a bicycle rab in the city. And followers of Basaveshware and several organizations distributed food and juice in different parts of the city.
