Former minister and veteran Lingayat Bheemann Khandre’s health is stable, his son and Forest Minister Eshwar Khandre said on Tuesday, appealing to the public not to believe rumors doing the rounds on social media.
The 102-year-old leader has been undergoing treatment for age-related ailments, including respiratory problems and fluctuating blood pressure, at a private hospital in Bidar for nearly two weeks now.
After a brief deterioration in his health, he was transferred to his residence in Bhalki in accordance with his wish to continue treatment at home.
A team of doctors provides round-the-clock medical care with oxygen support.
Eshwar Khandre said his father’s condition has since stabilized and he is being closely monitored. He urged supporters to pray for Bheemann Khandre’s early recovery.
