Bharath Hospital and Institute of Oncology (BHIO) will organize a two-day nationwide Cancer Care Summit 2.0 titled ‘State of the Art Newer Innovations in Cancer Care’ on November 29 and 30 at Southern Star Hotel, Mysuru.
“The summit aims to bring together leading experts in oncology to discuss new technologies, advanced treatment protocols and innovations shaping the future of cancer care in India,” said a statement issued by the organizers here.
Dr. Srinivas KG, Senior Consultant Medical Oncologist at BHIO and organizer of the program said that renowned medical and surgical oncologists from across the country will participate.
“More than 50 scientific papers covering recent advances, clinical research findings and evolving best practices will be presented during the summit. The event will also provide a platform for specialists to share their experiences and insights in dealing with complex cancer cases,” the statement added.
A special session on robotic surgery in oncology will be a major highlight of the summit. BHIO has already successfully completed more than 100 robotic surgeries, marking a major milestone in precision cancer treatment, the statement added.
Dr. Vijay Kumar M., Senior Surgical Oncologist and Robotic Surgeon at BHIO, will deliver a talk on “Introduction to Robotic Surgery in Oncology – BHIO Center Experience”. Seminars will also focus on gastrointestinal oncology, breast cancer, uro-oncology, lung cancer, gynecologic oncology and hematology along with a satellite gynecology-oncology symposium.
