Industries and Food Processing Minister TG Bharath met Union Food Processing Minister Chirag Paswan on Wednesday and urged the Center to speed up the pending proposals aimed at strengthening the state’s agriculture sector.
According to a press release, Mr. Bharath sought immediate release of funds for the Integrated Tomato Value Chain Project and support for FPOs across the state. He also sought approval for the remaining incubation centers at Tirupati, Bapatla, Lam and Pulivendula under the PM-FME scheme to empower start-ups and micro-entrepreneurs.
He said the state government under Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu was focused on reducing post-harvest losses and expanding rural livelihoods. Mr. Paswan has learned to respond positively to requests.
